Studying all weekend
Ok, third term is not so bad so far I am taking Behavioral science and a combine BPH course that includes Biostats, Epidemilogy, Health Policy and Jurisprudence/Ethics. Behavioral science has been the most interesting so far.
Its amazing what a thin line it is between being sane and being insane and as my mom pointed out the other day the line is just as thin between life and death. So we really have to live life to the fullest and thank God for every day he blesses us with. we’ve been watching some videos about people with bipolar disorder, dementia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia and a bunch of other behavioral problems and its just unfortunate the conditons that some people find themselves. These disorders are not to be taken as a joke at all so everytime u feel the need to say you are suffering from a case of dementia, feel the need to call someone schizo or mention that you have OCD when these are not actually true please think twice and decide not to say it because there are actually people suffering from these illnesses.
I have my first exam on Tuesday, the good thing is that we have a three day weekend and that gives me plenty of time to review and memorize stuff I still need to. I am also looking forward to traveling to Margarita Island, it will be lots of fun.
Something weird going on with me right now, my feet swell when I seat for a prolonged period. Does that mean I don’t like to study? Ofcourse not. Its appears as if I have dependent edema which is a condition in which fluid builds up in your lower extremities due to the effects of gravity. There are a number of things that could be causing this but I am doing all I can to reduce it my studying more on my bed and keeping my leg elevated but at times it does concern me so I have been praying and will continue to pray about it. Its saturday, I have been in bed all day studying and a few hours from now will go work out and after that go back to studying. Fun huh? most days in medical school are like that. but its cool.
Stay Blessed
