About Me

naijamd.JPG

So, if you clicked here, you must want to know a little about me.  Since writing about myself is always a bit difficult, let me start from the beginning.

I was born in Nigeria, my home and the place that I still consider myself deeply bound to.  I grew up in Lagos until I was 13 years old and then moved to Minneapolis, MN where my siblings live. I’ve always been very proud of my heritage as an African and as a woman and I’ve always been driven in trying to become successful.  So this is where my journey began.  After all, you can’t find success unless you get out and look for it.
The first step to my success and probably the cornerstone of it, has been my education.  I finished my undergraduate degree in Minnesota and moved to Miami to continue my higher education.  I received my Masters in Science and then applied to Medical School.

So here I am…sharing my stories of the ups and downs of medical school. My own version of SCRUBS or Grey’s Anatomy, if you will.  Why am I doing it?  Because I want to document my life.  Because I want to inspire anyone and everyone to pursue their dreams. And because, believe it or not, there is a lot of venting to be done!

So, join me in my journey and don’t be afraid to give me a little bit of your perspective.  Wisdom is only gained when shared.

Stay Blessed,
Naija MD
